Thank you for a really comfortable and enjoyable stay in your Inn.   The meal was beautifully cooked and presented, the wine appropriate and above all the whole ambience was exactly what we were seeking ( and very rarely find), that is peace and quiet in an intimate setting, as opposed to the concrete and glass chain hotels we normally have to put up with.  Thanks again.

Helen and I arrived to stay at the Struan Inn on the evening of
28 February 2006, as a stop over en route to our wedding scheduled for the
following day in Ballater. We arrived in freezing cold blizzard conditions
to be met with a contrasting warmth and welcoming hospitality. Friends
subsequently joined us to stay that evening and we had a very pleasant meal
of traditional Scottish fare. Despite the late arrival (well past the
kitchen closing time) of two more of our friends, Heather was
kind enough to lay on a spread of sandwiches late in the evening to be
washed down with plenty of liquid refreshment! Despite the worsening
weather conditions and a worrying number of reported road closures in the
Caingorms, we did finally make it to our wedding on time! Some credit for
this must go to our kind hosts who in the morning provided us with advice
and 'print offs' of the latest weather and road conditions reports from the
internet!
The generous hospitality at the Struan Inn was a credit to our host Heather.

Thank you Heather and Family for giving us such a memorable Christmas. It was great being included in such a lovely traditional Scottish family celebration of Christmas. We especially enjoyed attending the local church service on Christmas eve with George (Heather's father), and his salute to the Aussie with his cork hat on Christmas morning made us feel very special. The only thing that could have made it better was out of your control - some snow would have topped of a truly wonderful Christmas.
Thanks, from the Pearce Family, Canberra, Australia

This is just a short note to thank you for allowing me to stay at your Inn .  The food was really enjoyable (you are a terrific cook Heather), and the atmosphere was wonderful.  Thanks for giving me directions and being so helpful during my stay. It was a great experience that I will always remember.  I would highly recommend anyone to stay at the Struan.  You are both terrific people - a good example of the Scottish people.  Thanks again.

The decor of the rooms are beautiful, the food is very good and healthy.  The owners are very kind and always ready to help, they always had time to explain anything when we did not understand the language.  Its a lovely hotel, set in a quiet area, just delightful.  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Struan Inn

Hi... here's the brief but very favourable mention of the Struan Inn in my Cairngorms travel article published in the Sunday Mirror on June 20: At the Struan Inn at Calvine, just off the A9 north of Pitlochry, we turned up tired and hungry after a hard day’s driving just as the kitchen was about to close. But they did us proud with a feast for nine that was stunningly good, with main courses including fresh salmon, steak and lamb cutlets from around £9. Call 01796 483208 or see www.struan-inn.co.uk Happy to repeat the sentiments... the food was wonderful and the service was way beyond the call of duty. Best wishes from Brian
