The hotel is right on the doorstep of Blair Castle and the House of Bruar,
two of Scotland's premier visitor attractions. The latter features the Clan Donnaichaidh (Robertson) centre. Local distilleries with visitor
centres abound, at Dalwhinnie, Blair Atholl, Edradour and Aberfeldy; and
the Speyside whisky trail is comfortably within a day visit, as are Scone
Palace, Glamis Castle and Castle Menzies. Visit the renowned Pass of
Killiecrankie, with its guided walks and visitor centre. See working water
mills at Blair Atholl, Aberfeldy, Blairgowrie and Perth.
Include a day trip to Perth, with its many museums and the agricultural
visitor centre at Perth Mart, to Dundee, the 'City of Discovery' - or

Edradour-The smallest distillery in Scotland is virtually unchanged for
the past 150 years. Guided tours available and plenty of opportunities

Dalwhinnie - Situated high in the Grampian mountains, near the geographical
centre of Scotland it is one of the highest distilleries in the land.
Blair Athol - Established in 1798 in the picturesque town of Pitlochry,
Blair Athol is one of the oldest working distilleries in Scotland.
Aberfeldy - The red squirrel on the label is inspired by the woodland
setting that borders the distillery and is home to rare red squirrels.
The distillery has been in continuous production since its opening, except
for a short period during WW II.

A crannog is a type of ancient loch-dwelling found throughout Scotland
and Ireland dating from 5,000 years ago. The Scottish Crannog Centre features
a unique reconstruction of an early Iron Age Crannog.

Queen's View Centre
The Centre is the heart of Tay Forest Park. The park includes scenic areas
of highland Perthshire. You'll find opportunities to walk, cycle, and
relax. Also take in the spectacular views at the centre itself.
Killiecrankie.
The Pass of Killiecrankie offers a splendid walk beside the River Garry
through a densely wooded gorge where you will find lots of scottish wildlife
and plantlife. A visitor centre provides information on Killiecrankie's
history, as well as the battle fought here in 1689. The woodland is famous
for its golden autumn colours, with the view from the Garry Bridge being
one of the most photographed in Perthshire.
Glamis castle
Glamis Castle is the family home of the Earls of Strathmore and Kinghorne
and has been a royal residence since 1372. It was the childhood home of
HM Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother, the birthplace of Her Royal Highness
the Princess Margaret and is the setting of Shakespeare's play "Macbeth".
It is open to the public and is well worth a visit.

The ancient seat of the Dukes and Earls of Atholl. The castle enjoys one
of Scotland's most beautiful settings - the heart of Highland
Perthshire. Originally built by the Comyn family, Blair Castle itself
dates back to 1269 but has been modified in the centuries since, most
of the present castle being from the18 and 19th centauries. The Castle
is set in extensive parklands within the, Atholl Estates. Many marked
trails and shorter walks are set out within and around the Castle grounds.

Poised above the River Tay, the Palace overlooks the north to the Highlands
and over
Strathmore to the east coast. The Grampian mountain's form a distant backdrop,
and
across the river Tay is the city of Perth.

Much of the present castle dates from around 1840 when it was extended
during the Victorian time. During WWII it was used by the Polish Army.
Now a clan centre for the Clan Menzies Society.

The castle has been the Scottish home of the Royal Family since it was
bought for Queen Victoria by Prince Albert in 1852. Nestled in the Royal
Deeside it is one of the most beautiful areas of Scotland.
